Alfredo Morelos has admitted that it will be good to go to a more competitive league.

That will be from the league that he has never won or even scored against the champion club in three seasons.

Morelos has cut a figure of misery around Ibrox for some time, doing all that he can in 2020 to escape from Ibrox.

On Sunday news from France emerged that he had agreed terms to join Lille, unfortunately it seems that the two clubs are miles apart in their valuations of the former HJK Helsinki starlet.

Rather than deny agreeing terms with Lille Morelos decided to tell Win Sports of Colombia that he is hoping to get out of Ibrox.

There is a lot of speculation in the press about my transfer to another team. We are waiting, playing the games well and if the opportunity is welcome, it is. There are several options, we are focused on what is being done, preparing well for the league here.

There are clubs that have spoken, but formally there is no agreement. The decision was made by me and I hope it will be good to go to a more competitive league if I decide.

It seems that Lille aren’t interested in going much above 7m euros for the striker with one goal to his name in 2020.

With Ibrox directors talking up fantasy bids of £20m and over even the Gullible might start to see through them if Morelos goes for an undisclosed fee and they lose out on Lyndon Dykes to Barnsley.
