Hamilton Accies have been in contact with Celtic about taking Robbie Deas to the Lanarkshire side.
Deas impressed in 24 Championship matches for Alloa last season, Video Celts understands that his form has attracted the attention of Hamilton boss Brian Rice.
Talks have taken place between the two clubs with Deas not included in the Celtic squad at Loughborough University or for the three team trip to France.
With one year remaining on his deal it is believed that Celtic are prepared to let the defender leave with a healthy slice of any sell on fee included in the deal.
Deas came through the ranks at Celtic but has yet to feature in the first team squad, during the 2018/19 season he was on loan to Cowdenbeath.
The players outwith the Celtic first team squad face an uncertain period. Last season Celtic pulled out of the Reserve League with the SPFL unlikely to run any type of reserve football next season.
Stephen Welsh, Luca Connell, Ewan Henderson, Scott Robertson and Karamoko Dembele are with the first team in France.
