Neil Lennon has made ten changes to the Celtic starting XI that drew 1-1 with Nice for tonight’s friendly against Lyon.

Scott Bain retains his place in goals but the outfield players that came on an hour into the Nice match all get the chance to start against a strong Lyon side led by Moussa Dembele.

Young defender Stephen Welsh faces his toughest test as a Celtic player, lining up alongside Nir Bitton against the player that Celtic sold for £20m two years ago.

Lennon has listed 14 substitutes, including two goalkeepers with chanes expected on the hour mark. Tom Rogic and Vakoun Bayo again fail to get stipped for the match.

After tonight’s game Celtic move on to face Paris Saint Germain on Tuesday in the final match of the French trip.

No further matches have been confirmed but almost certainly some sort of game will be staged next weekend ahead of the opening SPFL fixture on August 2 at home to Hamilton Accies.

CELTIC: Bain; Elhamed, Bitton, Welsh, Bolingoli; Soro, Robertson; Karamoko, Ntcham, Henderson, Klimala

SUBS: Doohan, Hazard, Jullien, Taylor, Brown, Christie, Edouard, Elyounoussi, Connell, Frimpong, Ajer, McGregor, Forrest, McInroy
