Celtic have resisted interest from Leicester City to sign Tsoanelo Letsosa onto a three year professional contract.

Clubs from the EPL and elsewhere have been hovering over the Celtic Academy with Liam Morrison joining Manchester City last summer with Josh Adam agreeing to join Manchester City.

Back in February Leicester Live reported on interest from Brendan Rodgers on the midfielder who had joined the Celtic Academy in 2017 from Palace Park of Erskine.

Letsosa was brought up in South Africa but at the age of 12 his family moved to Scotland with the youngster playing for Scotland in the Victory Shield.

Callum McGregor and James Forrest are the lead examples for everyone at the Celtic Academy with both players joining the club while still at Primary School.

Over the last decade Academy players have had their development stepped up by attending St Ninian’s High School which allows the players additional training time at Lennoxtown.
