The 12th man was missing yesterday but there was a mini Welcome Party for the Celtic team as they arrived at Tannadice.
As Neil Lennon’s squad turned into Tannadice Street a handful of supporters had gathered to remind the champions that thousands are backing them in the battle to win a 10th successive Scottish title.
On Thursday the First Minister announced that limited number will be able to attend sports events from September 14 with Celtic using their media outlets to push for a trial match against Motherwell next Sunday.
It seems like less than 1,000 fans will be allowed at the match which seems likely to just test out protocols in terms of arriving, being socially distant and departing in an orderly fashion.
Celtic Park should be able to host crowds of between 20-30,000 without too much of a problem although like many aspects it will certainly fall into the new norm.
