Neil Lennon gave the briefest of transfer updates after the 1-1 draw away to Kilmarnock.

Vasilis Barkas made a steady debut after his £4.5m transfer from AEK Athens but there hasn’t yet been any outfield players brought in since the January additions of Patryk Klimala and Ismaila Soro.

Talks to sign Albian Ajeti on loan from West Ham seem to be picking up but going into hopefully two Champions League qualifiers it looks like Odsonne Edouard will be the only tried and tested striker available to the Celtic boss.

Asked about transfer activity after the Kilmarnock match, The Sun reports Lennon saying:

We are working away on a few things. The squad is a little bit light compared to what it was at the end of last season, so I would say we are looking to bring a couple of bodies in.

Last week Lennon mentioned bringing in a new centre half, numbers wise replacing Jozo Simunovic, as one of the positions that he wants to address.

Hatem Abd Elhamed came on midway through the second half at Kilmarnock allowing the team to switch to a 3-5-2 formation.

The Celtic boss will host a media conference tomorrow to preview Wednesday’s match away to St Mirren.
