Alex Rae has revealed that Steven Gerrard has another striker about to sign up at Ibrox. In November he exclusively revealed fresh investment to fund the January transfer plans.
The former Dundee and St Mirren boss has more than filled the boots that Derek Johnstone vacated a year ago as he gives his backing to Everything, Anything that portrays his Ibrox heroes in a favourable light.
Before Jermain Defoe suffered a hamstring injury Steven Gerrard was looking for a striker, with the former England striker out of action the club is even more dependent on Alfredo Morelos.
When Alex Rae says done deal on a striker, you can absolutely ,100% take it to the bank, that we haven’t signed one

Florian Kamberi was on loan in January but despite being frozen out at Hibs no offer has been made from Gerrard to bring the former Grasshoppers striker back to his boyhood heroes.
Since taking charge of the club two years ago the former Liverpool midfielder has signed more than 30 players but his side is still largely dependent on Morelos, Ryan Jack and James Tavernier who were already in place when he arrived.
Kyle Lafferty, Eros Grezda, Andy King and Umar Sadiq are among a number of players brought in by Gerrard and quickly dumped with Jordan Jones getting the same treatment.
