Corriere dello Sport has reported that Chris Jullien is a potential transfer target of Napoli.
The Celtic defender was outstanding in last season’s Europa League ties against Lazio which is bound to have caught the eye of Napoli who finished behind Lazio in Serie A.
Kalidou Koulibaly is expected to leave Napoli this summer with Jullien among the contenders as a replacement.
Picking up on the report from Corriere dello Sport , Calcio Napoli 1926 reports:
In Scotland, in Celtic, there is a Frenchman, Christopher Jullien , who caught the eye, before the season stopped, and led to some thoughts, Imposing physicist (one meter and ninety-seven), scattered experiences (Auxerre, Friborg , Dijon and Toulouse, before Scotland).
Jullien was Celtic’s key signing of last summer, coming in on the back of Dedryck Boyata, Filip Benkovic and Mikael Lustig leaving the club.
After being left out of the side in the early weeks of the season he formed a strong partnership with Kris Ajer as Celtic powered to the title and success in the League Cup.
Ajer has been linked with AC Milan in recent months but with just two central defenders it’s unlikely that Celtic will encourage any interest in Jullien at this stage.
