Neil Lennon is still looking to add to his Celtic squad.

The hoops boss was delighted by today’s 5-1 win over Hamilton Accies in which he fielded his strongest outfield selection.

Vasilis Barkas was signed during the week from AEK Athens with Lennon looking to add more quality for a hectic season ahead that will include two attempts at the Scottish Cup and hopefully group stage action in the Champions League or Europa League.

Covering his after-match media conference Glasgow Live reported:

Maybe two or three just to add. We lost seven or eight in the close season. Moi was already here, so we’ve only really brought Vasilis in. In terms of the playing pool we’d like to add two or three more if we can.

You can never have enough good strikers, and good defenders, and good midfield players and good goalkeepers, so we’re always looking to improve and add to what we already have which is an immense amount of talent.

Although there were a few rough edges to today’s performance winning 5-1 after more than four months in cold storage was very satisfying.

Odsonne Edouard underlined his importance to the side by netting a hat-trick within an hour with his replacement, Patryk Klimala scoring his first competitive goal for the club.

Lennon has given his squad Monday and Tuesday off, on Wednesday they get together for an intensive spell that starts away to Kilmarnock on Sunday.
