New Shane Duffy Celtic singsong video emerges as Lennon’s attention turns to defence

A video clip has emerged that should have Celtic’s management team rushing through with their interest in Shane Duffy.

Stephen McGowan of the Daily Mail revealed that Neil Lennon had spoken to the player but there is also interest from West Ham and West Brom.

A video posted on Twitter on August 10 should give Celtic a head start. Led by a guitarist going through a medley Duffy can be seen singing ‘Here We Go, Ten In A Row’. With one change of chord the tune becomes ‘There’s Only One Shane Duffy’ with the man in question initially looking a little embarrassed then joins in with the spirit of the punters.

With Albian Ajeti signing from West Ham yesterday Lennon is certain to turn his transfer attention to defence where he has already stated he is down on numbers after losing Jozo Simunovic.

Duffy’s style of play on the back of three seasons battling with Brighton would seem to be a perfect fit as well as his obvious passion for the club.

Last October Duffy signed a Brighton contract that runs until 2023 but it seems likely that he will move on this summer as Graham Potter takes the club in a new direction.
