One Celtic Twitter account was almost 24 hours ahead of the pack with the Boli Bolingoli Spanish trip story.

Late on Sunday night, after his cameo performance at Kilmarnock @asmallteaser tweeted that the player shouldn’t have been near the Celtic squad.

In reply to that message Spain and Prestwick was mentioned with part of the story emerging around 9.30pm on Monday night.

What Bolingoli was upto last week is far from clear while Celtic’s HR department also has some serious questions to answer.

On the players part, while he was on the bench for the 5-1 win over Hamilton last Sunday he had plans in place for a quick getaway to Spain.

He must have required a degree of disguise to get through Prestwick Airport and return a few days later.

Even though the players were given Monday and Tuesday off it should be assumed that the club have a degree of knowledge about where the players are. In the past club’s held on to the passports of players to ensure smooth travel on European trips.

After returning to training no one appears to have discovered that Bolingoli had used his days off to head over to Spain.

Fortunately, he returned two negative tests but for a couple of days he was within the Celtic bubble having spent part of the week in a country that requires quarantine when returning to Scotland.

If @aweeteaser got wind of what happened there are a lot of questions, answers and actions to be taken on this matter.

Should Leigh Griffiths and Boli Bolingoli play again for Celtic?

No, get rid, totally unprofessional.
