Scott Bain starts his first SPFL match in almost a year when Celtic take on Hamilton today.

New signing Vasilis Barkas will watch from the substitute bench following two days of training after completing his £4.5m move from EK Athens.

Neil Lennon’s side is expected to line up in a 4-2-3-1 formation with Odsonne Edouard playing as the sole striker. With nine substitutes the strength of the Celtic squad is obvious with Karamoko Dembele joining eight experienced players on the bench.

Jackie McNamara will unfurl the 9-in-a-row league flag before the match with a two goal victory sending the hoops into top spot on Matchday One.

Next Sunday Celtic are at Kilmarnock kicking off a hectic spell of three matches in seven days followed by games against St Mirren and Aberdeen.

CELTIC: Bain; Frimpong, Ajer, Jullien, Taylor; Brown, McGregor; Forrest, Christie, Elyounoussi; Edouard
