David Turnbull will be available for selection against his old club on Sunday.

The midfielder completed his switch from Motherwell on Thursday with the Fir Park club picking up a fee in the region of £3m.

The SPFL fixture list has pitted both clubs together this weekend but there is no agreement between the clubs for Turnbull to sit out Sunday’s clash.

Asked if Turnbull would be in the squad against his old club Lennon said ‘Yes’; turning to other team matters (10 minutes in) he added

Nir Bitton has got a bit of a groin injury, Tom Rogic is still out. With Nir we are hoping that he will train tomorrow, Mikey Johnston is still recovering from surgery and Bolingoli is still unavailable as well.

Asked about Leigh Griffiths, Lennon said:

He’s still unavailable, he is re-habing from his calf injury.

The main area of interest in the team news on Sunday will be in attack. Ryan Christie was used against Ferencvaros while Albian Ajeti and Patryk Klimala left on the bench with the former West Ham man put on for the last 15 minutes.

Odsonne Edouard is still unavailable with the arrival of Turnbull adding even more options to Celtic’s midfield.

In defence Jeremie Frimpong is likely to start in place of Hatem Abd Elhamed. Motherwell arrive at Celtic Park on the back of a 5-1 win over Glentoran with Tony Watt and Stephen O’Donnell among the scorers.
