Albian Ajeti sends message to Celtic support

Late on Monday night Albian Ajeti posted a hopeful message to the Celtic support.

Sunday’s 3-0 win over Hibs was virtually a template of what every fan had been hoping for from the team but an injury to the striker cast a shadow over the match.

Pouncing on the rebound from a parried Moi Elyounoussi shot the striker instinctively put the ball in the net to add to Callum McGregor’s opener. It was a great finish but within a second or two of netting he pulled up injured and was replaced by Odsonne Edouard.

After the match Neil Lennon revealed that it seemed like a hamstring injury that could put him out for a couple of weeks with a scan planned to get the full extent of the damage.

Ajeti won’t be in the squad to face Sarajevo or St Johnstone but with less than three weeks to go till the first Glasgow derby that is the date that Celtic fans are crossing their fingers for the return of the Swiss striker with five goals this season without completing a full 90 minutes.
