Anderlecht are expected to step up their interest in Mark McKenzie.
Celtic have been linked with the defender a couple of times this summer but so far no concrete offer has been made.
Anderlecht have lost two central defenders with the Philadelphia Union man in their sights as they look to strengthen that area of their side.

After Vincent Kompany stopped and Elias Cobbaut’s serious injury, Anderlecht are forced to re-enter the transfer market. An extra central defender is not a luxury.
A while ago, Anderlecht already showed interest in the American international Mark McKenzie. The talented central defender is currently still playing domestically at Philadelphia .
There is competition, because Celtic Glasgow and Union Berlin also follow the player closely. The Purple & White will have to put the necessary money on the table because the MLS club is hoping for 2 million euros for McKenzie.
Celtic look to be on the brink of signing Shane Duffy but that would only take their central defensive options to three. Beyond Chris Jullien and Kris Ajer Neil Lennon has to turn to a midfielder, Nir Bitton, a right back, Hatem Abd Elhamed and the largely untested Stephen Welsh to play in that role.
Last January Celtic signed Manny Perez and Andrew Gutman from the USA although neither has been able to play a competitive match in Scotland.
McKenzie has picked up one full international cap after playing at every under-age level including captaining the u-20 side at the World Cup Finals in Poland last year.
According to Transfermarkt McKenzie is under contract with Philadelphia Union until December 2022.
