When the transfer window meets an international break speculation goes into overdrive.
This afternoon some Celtic fans have been discussing a move for Lewis Ferguson although there appears to be nothing of substance in the chat.
Last week Celtic spent £3m to sign David Turnbull from Motherwell, in January Ismaila Soro was added to the midfield options but is still waiting to make his debut.
Ferguson has started his third season at Aberdeen in impressive form, scoring the only goal of the game in Sunday’s win away to Hibs.
He is certainly a player of potential, having just turned 21 he has already made 100 senior appearances for Hamilton and Aberdeen but there is one massive elephant in the room. It’s no secret that his dad and uncle, former Rangers players have no love for Celtic, quite the reverse.
Most kids from the west of Scotland are heavily influenced by their Dad and Uncle, especially when they are former footballers.
The grapevine will buzz for another month, if Olivier Ntcham and Tom Rogic leave Celtic the buzz over Ferguson will get even louder.
If Ntcham goes Celtic signing Lewis Ferguson. Don’t shot the messenger. HH

I’d be delighted with Lewis Ferguson. Good player and a physical presence. Couldn’t care less about his family background as long he’s professional.
