Celtic fans were delighted to see Shane Duffy mark his debut with a goal in the 5-0 win away to Ross County.
The Irishman went straight into the side as Neil Lennon made four changes and switched to a 3-5-2 formation with Odsonne Edouard and Albian Ajeti leading the line.
Those two strikers put Celtic in front before the break, just before the hour mark as a corner came into the County box with Duffy easing Chris Jullien aside to bullet home a header from around 8 yards out.
In normal circumstances there would have been a packed stand full of Celtic fans celebrating behind the goal but as his header hit the net he realised a dream of scoring in a Celtic jersey.
Kris Ajer showed a strikers’ instinct to put Celtic 4-0 up before substitute Patryk Klimala completed the scoring with 15 minutes left to play.
Duffy will enjoy the journey back to Glasgow with one eye on St Mirren on Wednesday and the chance to move closer to the top of the SPFL Premiership table.
