Neil Lennon has attacked the media as a fresh batch of stories speculate over the departure of Celtic players.
There are nine days left in the transfer window with Celtic yet to sell any of their players- a position that the manager will happily settle for a week on Tuesday.
Covering his pre-match interview, BBC Scotland (page 5) reported:
The French striker has been linked with a move away from Celtic, but Lennon says newspaper reports are “unfounded”.
“There’s nothing in these stories,” he explains. “The media create these stories then ask me about them. I have no answer. I’m disappointed stories are coming out that are unfounded on the eve of an important game.”
The transfer market has been very quiet as clubs come to terms with unprecedented terms with spending much reduced from previous summers.
Edouard and Christie both have two years left to run which is the same situation as Olivier Ntcham and Kris Ajer.
So far Celtic have signed Albian Ajeti, Vasilis Barkas and David Turnbull with Shane Duffy and Moi Elyounoussi joining on loan for the season.
