Ewan Henderson is a transfer target for Dundee United.
A source has told Video Celts that Micky Mellon has been alerted to the young midfielder with United hoping to sign him up on a permanent deal.
Henderson made his debut under Brendan Rodgers in May 2018 and enjoyed a handful of top team appearances around the ‘handover’ to Neil Lennon.
Last season Henderson spent time on loan at Ross County but after 10 appearances, six from the start he returned to Celtic in January.
With David Turnbull added to the squad last week midfield places are even harder to get with Olvier Ntcham, Tom Rogic, Ismaila Soro and Nir Bitton as back up to the established first choice trio of Scott Brown, Callum McGregor and Ryan Christie.
Alongside Luca Connell and Scott Robertson there is little prospect of Henderson seeing much game time with Celtic and United in talks about the exact details of a transfer.
Henderson turned 20 in March and is under contract with Celtic until June 2022.
