Once again whispers are being made about Scott Brown being finished, past it and washed up at the age of 35.

The last time the topic was raised was in the autumn of 2018 when Ryan Christie burst into the Celtic side with Brown out injured.

There was plenty of movement, drive and goals between Christie, Tom Rogic and Callum McGregor but it wasn’t too long before the skipper was back in place adding direction and that X-factor to the Celtic side.

Brown has heard it all many times down the years, at various stages since 2007 there has been plenty of folk writing him off. With over 500 Celtic appearances and an incredible medal haul he doesn’t need to bother answering the critics.

Included in the total is the last 11 domestic honours with the prospect of adding a 12th before the turn of the year through the delayed Scottish Cup.

Joe McHugh has edited Video Celts since 2010, every day covering events in and around Scotland's most successful club.

When a six year stretch at the Sunday Mirror came to an end it was clear that the future was digital, print had ran its race.

Smart phones and social media created a new landscape, Video Celts has certainly made an impact with Joe described as having an unhealthy obsession by Peter Lawwell at the 2024 Celtic AGM. A priceless endorsement.

There are issues breaking around the clock, no two days are the same. More than 50 years on from his first match Joe is enjoying the ongoing successes of Celtic.
