Celtic are stepping up their preparations for the return of supporters with a specialist company in Hand Sanitisers picture outside the stadium.

No fans have been inside Celtic Park since March 7 with plans to host a Trial Match in July ahead of the opening SPFL fixture falling by the wayside.

So far there has been just two test events in football this season with Ross County and Aberdeen hosting 300 fans at the start of September but no follow up matches are planned.

Allowing 40,000 fans to enter a stadium in one hour would be an obvious step towards making an outdoor venue even safer at a time when Shopping Centres, Cinemas and Gyms are allowed to operate.

Allowing 10,000 fans inside Celtic Park should provide minimal risk of infection, unlike shops every fan will be able to be traced with those living within 10 miles of the venue the most likely to be first to return.

UEFA has given clubs permission to have 30% of their ground open for Champions League and Europa League ties but that is dependent on local government regulations.

After tomorrow’s Glasgow Derby the next SPFL match at Celtic Park is on December 6 when St Johnstone visit.
