Daily Record reveals fast-track transfer to take Morelos to Paris Saint Germain

Less than 48 hours after the main European transfer window has closed the Daily Record has revealed a fast track route to Paris Saint Germain for Alfredo Morelos.

Throughout the summer there were constant cases of Morelos Bingo with Lille, Porto and Fiorentina being the clubs strongly linked with a move for the chunky striker.

Other than a bizarre appearance by the President of Lille on the Jim White show on TalkSPORT in which he was cajoled into making a bid for Morelos there has been no firm offer put on the table.

French media sources completely overlooked the interview with almost all of the transfer speculation originating in Scotland or from Colombian radio stations.

Picking up on the latest speculation, Keith Jackson informs Daily Record readers:

Alfredo Morelos could yet be offered a route out of Ibrox this month with mega rich Qatar outfit Al Duhail considering mounting a fresh move for the Colombian.

Morelos is understood to have turned down a potential £13m move to the Gulf state during the summer, at a time when Lille and a host of other European big spenders were monitoring his situation at Rangers.

It’s believed the striker was holding out for a move to straight into one of the continent’s biggest five leagues on the back of his prolific scoring exploits in last season’s Europa League campaign.

But the Qatari interest has remained strong throughout and Al Duhail believe they may be able to tempt him to move to Doha with the extra lure of a potential fast-track move to Paris Saint-Germain through an established link-up between the ownerships of both clubs.

The Qatar Stars League’s transfer window runs until October 25 which means Al Duhail – who have already splashed out on former Juventus trio Mario Mandzukic, Medhi Benatia and Han Kwang-song – have more than two weeks left to launch another move.

After having Charles Green and Craig Whyte in charge at Ibrox it looks like trolling with Al Du Hail (Hail) leading Alf out of Ibrox.

Since taking over as Director of Football in October 2019 Ross Wilson has raised £185,000 from two transfer windows thanks to the sale of Greg Docherty to Hull City.
