Odsonne Edouard made a surprise appearance at training today as Neil Lennon prepared his players for Sunday’s clash with Aberdeen.
The striker hasn’t played since starting against St Johnstone on October 4, two days later he tested positive with the French u-21 side which resulted in a 10 day period of self-isolation.
Edouard returned to Scotland at the end of last week but missed out on the Glasgow derby and Celtic’s Europa League defeat from AC Milan on Thursday night.

After the Milan match Lennon played down the prospect of having any new faces available for the Aberdeen match, highlighting the medical side of Edouard, Nir Bitton and Hatem Abd Elhamed who had all tested positive and shown various symptoms.
With a week of monitoring behind him and getting through a training session today Edouard could make it onto the bench tomorrow as Celtic look to get back to winning ways at Aberdeen.
With five from nine substitutes allowed there could be a Pittodrie role for the Frenchman.
