Neil Lennon’s squad is starting to resemble some form of normality although the James Forrest, Chris Jullien and Mikey Johnston remain out of contention.

The international break took a heavy toll on the Celtic squad but at Aberdeen on Sunday Ryan Christie and Tom Rogic were restored to the starting XI.

Celtic face Derek McInnes’ side again on Sunday, at Hampden in the Scottish Cup with four players that missed out at Pittodrie likely to be in contention at Hampden.

The Daily Record reports Lennon saying:

Nir had it pretty heavy in terms of how much it took out of him. Physically he is getting there. Odsonne, it’s not been too bad for him. He seems pretty strong now, he has had a few days longer than Nir in terms of training with the boys and training on his own.

Elhamed seems to have recovered quite well and hopefully he will be available at the weekend. Vasilis’s back seems to be OK. He has an on-going shoulder issue but nothing too strenuous.

Lille will arguably provide Celtic with a tougher test than they have faced in their last three winless outings.

Tonight’s Europa League opponents have picked up 18 points from eight matches in Lique 1 to share top spot with Paris Saint Germain while opening their European campaign with a 4-1 win away to Sparta Prague.

In the other group match AC Milan are heavy favourites at home to Sparta Prague in the San Siro.
