Among the many concerns of Celtic fans at the moment is the detached images of Neil Lennon in the dug-out.

It is often thrown at football fans that in times of trouble they became body language experts but there is no disguising the change in Neil Lennon’s demeanour.

During his first stint in charge picture editors and TV producers could be fairly certain of getting the image that they wanted of the Celtic boss lashing out verbally at players or officials or having a boot at water or Lucazade bottles.

It may have been highly selective editing but over the last three matches the images consistently shown of Lennon have been of a passive, detached figure almost always alone in the dug-out.

With arms folded and is face expressionless there seems to be a clear division between Lennon and the faltering squad that has shipped eight goals in three matches leading supporters to despair.

After match interviews seem strangely upbeat despite the evidence of a troubling 90 minutes with few if any players performing close to expectations.

Criticism last week was fierce, as much about the flatness of the team in the Glasgow Derby and against AC Milan.

With the gap at the top of the SPFL Premiership table stretched by two points and a trip to face Lille in the Europa League time is running out on Lennon with his strongest backers keeping quiet and wondering why the Thunder of 2010-2014 appears to have been replaced by a Tony Mowbray type figure.
