Time is running out on Neil Lennon with the patience of Celtic supporters at breaking point after the 3-3 draw at Aberdeen.
The emotions of the season were reflected in the 93 minutes played as Celtic chucked away two points with a patchy display.
After failing to register a shot on target in last week’s Glasgow Derby there were three goals to cheer in the second-half but the good work going forward was undone by horrendous defending with Aberdeen always looking like scoring as they ran at the Celtic defence.
Olivier Ntcham gave away an easily avoided penalty for the first goal, Shane Duffy was caught short at the second with the whole defence cut open and exposed leading to the penalty that provided Aberdeen with a stoppage time equaliser.
In eleven matches in the SPFL only the 3-0 win over Hibs has been convincing with little sign of a shape, tactics or formation deep into the season.
Peter Lawwell is unlikely to make a decision on the manager that he appointed in May 2019 without considering any other candidates.
In January Lennon created a formation that picked up 28 points out of 30 to win the title, in 2011 he turned around a 3-0 half time deficit at Kilmarnock to get a point and claw back a 15 point deficit from November 5 until December 31.
A win today might have suggested that another turnaround was possible but after a grim start to the season it seems that trust in Lennon and Lawwell has evaporated among much of the Celtic support.

Allowing 10IAR to slip away with no fight is unacceptable. The board has backed the Mgr but the Mgr has let us all down. Make a change ASAP and we’ll maybe salvage some pride #lennonout

Papering over cracks, time for the manager to go.

Poor performance. What were the tactics? Where was the organisation? Poor defence, lacklustre attack, hot & cold midfield. Aye 3 goals but didn’t deserve to win today. Just last season we were playing them off the park. Shambles. Major rethink required ?

As much as it pains me to say this time up for Lennon still love him but just not good enough

Announce Neil Lennon & his staff ‘s resignations shortly. Simply not good enough. Got to go. No clue about a good set up & players in form .

He and his backroom staff have lost the dressing room. Thanks for some great Celtic memories but a fresh change in 2021 is required. Peter Lawwell, Dermot Desmond and the rest of the board need Eddie Howe to save the season and build a new Celtic FC project for the next 3 years.

Clearly got his team wrong again, goal up and team Aberdeen dictate for the 1st time. Shocking, defending is embarrassing here. What has Gavin Strachan brought to this coaching team too? Every decision made since the end of season has been the wrong one.

We don’t have the time this season of all seasons for complacency. We are struggling since the Rangers game! And need an injection of urgency and dominance we have shown the last few seasons.
Not one to call for the manager to lose their job but we have to act now!

It’s time for Lennon to leave. We are getting worse. Started last season. It’s been so obvious.

Lennon, take Duffy both to Brighton by fast train. Each of us is a Celtic man, and each of us loves the team, each of us can be a coach and do no worse than Lennon. The victories are not due to Lennon’s incredible tactics but due to the fact that our players are many classes
