Chris Sutton watched the good, the bad and the indifferent as Celtic came away from Lille with a 2-2 draw.
It was a night of mixed emotions as Neil Lennon’s side raced into a two goal half time lead then held on for the last 15 minutes to a point that puts them in the hunt for qualification to the next stage of the Europa League.
Moi Elyounoussi opened the scoring with a stunning strike in the 28th minute, within five minutes the Norwegian doubled Celtic’s lead.
Mixed emotions for Celtic after letting a two goal lead slip. Bottom line is Neil Lennon looked like he had his Celtic team back tonight. Brave, gutsy, yes mistakes still being made but Celtic can be proud of that performance tonight… Elyounoussi best game in a Celtic jersey ?

In keeping with Celtic’s recent dramas Lille were awarded a penalty for a trip by Shane Duffy outside the box but Scott Bain managed to boot the ball clear from the award.
Midway through the second half Zeki Selik pulled a goal back when he escaped marking from a corner kick, in the 85th minute the hosts drew level through an Ikone shot that deflected past Bain.
Stephen Welsh, Tom Rogic and Ismaila Soro were introduced with Celtic holding on for a point. One downside was an injury to Kris Ajer that saw him replaced by Nir Bitton in the 53rd minute.
