Neil Lennon isn’t expecting to have Odsonne Edouard in his side for Sunday’s match at Aberdeen.
The striker returned a positive test on October 5 when he was with the French u-21 side but is still short of full training.
Edouard had to spend 10 days in self-isolation but after returning to Scotland his health has come first before getting back to full fitness.
Lennon used Leigh Griffiths, Albian Ajeti, Moi Elyounoussi and Patryk Klimala during the Europa League match against AC Milan but isn’t expecting to have Edouard included when his side line up at Aberdeen on Sunday lunchtime.
Asked about Edouard during an interview with BT Sport, the Daily Record reports the Celtic boss saying:
I doubt he would be available for the weekend. We just have to wait and see, he hasn’t done a lot just a little bit of cardio and some jogging around to check everything’s ok.
Nir Bitton is the same and obviously (Hatem) Elhamed’s still not back from Israel and his isolation yet. So it’ll be the same squad of players for the weekend I would imagine.
Celtic used five substitutes during last night’s match with the system switched to a back four at half-time with the hoops trailing 2-0.
The introduction of Ryan Christie and Tom Rogic during the second half gave the team a major spark- and Lennon food for thought over his team for Sunday at Pittodrie.
