Marian Shved was given a seven minute run out as Mechelen lost 2-1 at home to Kortrijk on Saturday.
The visitors has scored in the 71st and 74th minutes when the call went out to the on-loan winger who was making his third appearance from the bench this season.
With Mechelen sitting third bottom of the table with seven points from nine matches manager Wouter Vrancken is needing results to get his side moving up the table.
It doesn’t look like there will be much opportunity for Shved to bed himself into life with the Belgian side, results are paramount as he attempts to get his career moving again after just three brief substitute appearances at Celtic last season.
Celtic paid Karpaty Lviv a reported £1.5m for Shved in January 2019 but the expected development has failed to take off.
Elsewhere in Belgium Jack Hendry has been left kicking his heels with Oostende’s away match at Waasland-Beveren postponed.
Shved is under contract with Celtic until 2023.
