Diego Laxalt goes straight into the Celtic side for today’s Glasgow derby with Stephen Welsh and Patryk Klimala also in the starting XI.

The Uruguayan internationalist joined on loan on transfer deadline day and looks like starting on the left of a midfield five with Klimara partnered in attack by Moi Elyounoussi.

Welsh makes his first start of the season with Chris Jullien out injured. Albian Ajeti and Leigh Griffiths are on the bench but there is no place for Odsonne Edouard.

Over the last 24 hours there has been numerous ‘leaked’ team lines appearing online with so much uncertainty about the line up.

At yesterday’s media conference Lennon hadn’t ruled out playing Ryan Christie but it became clear last night that different rules apply in Scotland and England.

Despite Celtic being on an eight match winning run most of the bets seen by bookmakers has been on the visitors who go into the match as slight favourites going by the odds.

Whoever comes out on top today will be on top of the SPFL table with both sides currently unbeaten domestically.

CELTIC: Barkas; Welsh, Duffy, Ajer; Frimpong, Ntcham, Brown, McGregor, Laxalt; Elyounoussi, Klimala

SUBS: Bain, Ralston, Rogic, Taylor, Griffiths, Ajeti, Soro, Turnbull, Henderson
