After a year of turmoil Jonathan Afolabi looks like getting his Scottish career underway.

Last summer the striker impressed for at the u-19 European Championship Finals with stepping in with a three year contract.

After a handful of reserve team appearances interrupted by a hamstring injury picked up on International duty he joined on loan in January but Lockdown put that on hold.

Afolabi was thrown on at half-time in the opening Championship match at Tynecastle- while he looked strong and sharp the same couldn’t be said of his defensive team-mates with Hearts winning 6-2.

clearly did some work in defence last week with an early goal from the on-loan Celtic striker enough to beat Morton and get Dundee’s season up and running.

With Hearts playing in the on Saturday Dundee can go level on points if they can win at home to who have opened their campaign with two wins in with former Celt scoring in their opening day 3-0 win over Arbroath.
