Egyptian website Kingfut reports:

Al Ahly’s Mohamed Magdy Afsha is a target for Scottish giants Celtic, according to the player’s agent.

Afsha has only joined Al Ahly in the summer of 2019 from Pyramids FC and has quickly established himself as an integral part of the team.

“Scottish club Celtic are very interested in the services of Al Ahly’s Mohamed Magdy Afsha,” Afsha’s agent Abdelrahman Ismail said.

“Celtic want to sign Afsha and then loan him out to a European club. However, Al Ahly is against the idea of letting the player go especially as they are preparing for the CAF Champions League final.”

Next summer there is expected to be a major turnover of players at Celtic with Ryan Christie and Olivier Ntcham among those who’ll be entering the final year of their contract.

According to Transfermarkt, Afsha is under contract until June 2024.
