Peter Martin has tweeted that Neil Lennon’s time is up as Celtic manager.
Over the decades Martin has worked for a number of broadcasters as well as being Master of Ceremonies at a range of Celtic events, in 2019 he hosted a London fundraiser alongside Lennon and Scott Brown.
These days Martin hosts a daily football discussion with Alan Rough and a couple of guests with his PLZ show being granted media access to Celtic for matches and pre/post match conferences.
The #celtic manager cannot survive this. Time for change, Neil Lennon’s time is up. They’ve gone from the ‘Invincibles’ to the ‘indescribables’ #celtic knocked out of the cup by #rosscounty at home. pic.twitter.com/2ajCa7QDMA

After yesterday’s Betfred Cup defeat from Ross County Lennon brushed aside any suggestion that he wouldn’t continue as Celtic manager during broadcast interviews.
When he reached the general media conference the sound of fans demonstrating outside seemed to change his tone.
Later on Sunday night Celtic issued a statement condemning the actions of supporters protesting after the match, that issue served only to raise the temperature of the fans with an expectation of more communication from the club today.
