Celtic’s Colt side come out of a lengthy hibernation to face Partick Thistle tomorrow in the Glasgow Cup.
The match will be streamed live by Thistle on their You Tube Channel as last season’s tournament resumes with plenty of intrigue about the Celtic squad which will be made up of u-21 players plus two over-age. Thistle can play their full side.
Last season Celtic started with a defeat away to Clyde but avenged that at home, beat Queens Park home and away as well as drawing with Thistle and away to their Murray Park counterparts.
The Celtic side that drew with Thistle at Dumbarton in December was:
CELTIC: Mullen; O’Connor (Savoury 45), Hjelde, Hendry, Church; Connell, Coffey (Murray 79); Harper (Burt 65), Karamoko, Oko Flex (Wylie 79); Afolabi. SUBS: Hughes, Paterson, McGrath
Two weeks ago a Reserve XI drew with Hibs in a friendly at Easter Road but details on the match are hard to come by.
The 2019/20 Glasgow Cup is being played on a home and away basis between the five city clubs to provide eight matches with the top two clubs competing in the final which has been rescheduled till January. In previous seasons the tournament was played for between u-17 sides.
