A report from Norway has claimed that Moi Elyounoussi and Kris Ajer will have to Quarantine after their international squad broke up to fly back to clubs.

The Celtic duo should have been in action against Romania tonight but after the Norwegian Government refused permission for the team to travel UEFA cancelled the fixture with no word on whether it will be rescheduled or Romania awarded the points. In mid-afternoon they left Oslo on scheduled flights, to Glasgow via London or Amsterdam.

While other Governments and Football Associations adapt an attitude that the show must go on the Norwegian Government has broken rank and pulled the plug on an international double header in Romania and Austria.

What happens next is the great guessing game but across Europe there are different regulations. Crucially the Celtic duo have continued to return negative tests.

Norwegian publisher VG reports:

The Celtic players will now be quarantined in Scotland, and are unsure whether they will be allowed to play the club’s match next Saturday.

Later they state:

This means that the entire national team squad, with the exception of Omar Elabdellaoui, who was put in isolation earlier this week after a proven virus infection, can legally return home. The remaining players have tested negative several times.

Unless the Scottish authorities can come up with evidence that Elyounoussi or Ajer were in close contact with Elabdellaoui there are no grounds for them to be put in Quarantine or to self-isolate.

Last month, despite his protests, Ryan Christie he was forced to self-isolate on the basis of a phone call to Stuart Armstrong from the Track and Trace team.

Christie missed three internationals and a Glasgow derby despite constantly returning negative tests with Celtic again waiting for the word on whether their players can train and prepare to face Hibs on Saturday.
