Celtic Park gets fan led makeover

Celtic Park will have a little splash of supporter passion in place for tonight’s Europa League tie against Sparta Prague.

Since the start of the season a number of fairly bland club banners have been covering the swathes of empty seats but over in Section 111 a famous Tommy Burns saying will look down over the pitch.

European nights are a particular miss without fans, down the years the excitement of autumn nights under the lights against foreign visitors has added greatly to Celtic folklore.

A year ago Lazio fell victim to Celtic, Fraser Forster pulled off two incredible saves while Chris Jullien headed home a dramatic late winner before showing off his Superman celebration.

The Frenchman will be missing tonight but with Sparta much depleted and on the back of two Europa League defeats Neil Lennon’s side are strong favourites to win tonight and fire themselves back into contention for a place in the last 32 of the competition.
