Celtic’s Christmas video has carried a message of hope for David Turnbull.
The midfielder was signed from Motherwell in August but has had a frustrating time trying to break into Neil Lennon’s side with just one appearance in the Starting XI.
Scott Brown and Callum McGregor have been the regulars in central midfield while the recent return of Tom Rogic and Ryan Christie’s impressive form had made opportunities rare for Turnbull to make an impact.
There was however a message of hope- or cryptic clue- in Celtic’s Christmas video with a brief scene of a an unhappy looking Turnbull being greeted by Brown in full Celtic kit being invited out down the tunnel onto the pitch.

A knee issue picked up during his Celtic medical in June 2019 curtailed last season to just two appearances before Lockdown but at the start of the current campaign he proved his fitness to bring Celtic back to the negotiating table.
