Chris Jullien’s return to Celtic action is likely to be delayed another couple of days.

The defender hasn’t played since the 5-0 win away to Ross County on September 12 but has posted a number of videos on Social Media that suggest he has recovered from his back issue.

Celtic’s defence has been shuffled on a regular basis this season with a back four and back three tried as well as various different combinations of players.

Last season Jullien and Kris Ajer formed a strong partnership in front of Fraser Forster but that sort of relationship has been absent this season for one reason or another.

Asked if Jullien was back in the reckoning, Lennon said:

Maybe not for tomorrow but definitely this week, whether that be Sparta or Ross County in the cup. He’s just started training the last few days, he’s feeling good but tomorrow is probably too soon for him.

Ajer also looks like missing out tomorrow which leaves Lennon to select from Nir Bitton, Hatem Abd Elhamed and Shane Duffy for tomorrow’s match.

Earlier this season Celtic beat Hibs 3-0 in what many regard as one of Celtic’s best performances this term. After losing to Hearts and Aberdeen Hibs returned to some sort of form on Sunday with a 4-1 Betfred Cup win at home to Dundee.
