Peter Martin didn’t hold back with his verdict on Celtic tonight.
Neither Neil Lennon or Peter Lawwell were mentioned in his tweets but with the team falling apart the manager and CEO are the architects of the current run of misery.
Tonight Chris Jullien was back in the defence for the first time since September 12, it didn’t make the slightest difference to recent results and performances where Nir Bitton and Shane Duffy were the fall guys as the goal rattled in.
The defence is a shambles and every permutation clueless at the back. Big, big problems for #Celtic

You are delusional. I’ve been in that press box since the start of the season. The defence is all over the place. Cannot defend anything crossed into the box. Wise up.

After the match Neil Lennon was full of praise for his players, highlighting the first 35 minutes of the second half where they dominated possession before Sparta handed out a lesson in finishing in the last 10 with two more goals.
Lennon is unlikely to face the media ahead of Sunday’s Betfred Cup tie against Ross County, Friday will be a day of intense speculation as rumours surface about the plans and sightings of Lawwell or Celtic’s biggest shareholder, Dermot Desmond.
