Neil Lennon seemed oblivious to the frustrations and anger of Celtic fans following the 2-0 Betfred Cup defeat at home to Ross County.
It brought an end to a 36 match winning run in domestic cup ties but the ramifications look like going much, much further.
After watching the FIFTH home defeat of the season hundreds of Celtic fans headed along to protest outside of the stadium with Lennon, the players, Peter Lawwell and the board of directors the target for anger.
? What would the reaction have been like in a Martin O’Neill dressing room to that Celtic performance?
? “He’d have gone apoplectic. We’re in different times now, and I don’t think that’s the right thing to do with the players in this moment.” pic.twitter.com/X5gajitVab

? @CelticFC‘s Neil Lennon on the end of a long run of cup successes
? “It’s a long, long unbeaten run that’s lasted a long, long time. We’re just in a bad moment at the minute. I’ve got to be strong, got to be strong for the players. They’re devastated in there.” pic.twitter.com/KQjfTq4IbF

Rory Hamilton concentrated on the actual match before going onto wider issues with Lennon making it absolutely clear that he was in control with preparations underway towards the next match- a Europa League tie away to AC Milan on Thursday.
Online and outside of Celtic Park fans are demanding change and casualties from the grim run of two wins in 10 matches but from his first post-match interview there appears to be little prospect of Lennon handing in his resignation.
