Celtic’s Colt team are in Glasgow Cup action at 2pm today with the action from Firhill available for free on the Partick Thistle You Tube service.
Tommy McIntyre’s squad have been in cold storage since the start of March with the Glasgow FA playing the competition to a conclusion with the final scheduled for January 2021.
Celtic started their campaign with a defeat to Clyde with Danny Lennon a late substitute with that result reversed at Lennoxtown. Home and away wins over Queens Park and draws against Thistle and their Ibrox counterparts leaves Celtic tied at the top with Thistle on 11 points.
Celtic still have a home match to arrange against Steven Gerrard’s Colts but today is Thistle’s last match with the winner almost certain to be in the final. The top two teams from the five team group will contest the final.
Two players over 21 are permitted, Jack Hendry played in some matches last year but it will be a youthful Celtic side in action today while Ian McColl can select anyone in his squad without any age restrictions.
The Celtic Academy Twitter account hasn’t been active since August 23.
