Celtic fans reacted with a mix of despair and anger to news that Neil Lennon, Peter Lawwell and Dermot Desmond had held a conference call and decided that all was well within the club.
News that the three men are trying to find solutions and held a productive conversation is the language of a faceless conversation and not a tonic to a support that has watched a historic season unravel at an incredible rate.
Lennon has been the most obvious target for criticism on the back of two wins from nine matches but it is now very clear that he has the complete backing of the two key men at the club.
Neither Lawwell or Desmond are fond of speaking directly to supporters despite a range of club platforms, with each passing day it seems that they are more out of touch with the 50,000 fans that bought season tickets and the thousands more than have been buying kit and merchandise to keep the club bubbling along.
It is unprecedented to have Celtic fans demanding a change in management at this stage of the season. With no obvious replacement or caretaker on the market it looks like Lennon will continue starting with Sunday’s Betfred Cup tie at home to Ross County.
Celtic boss Neil Lennon had a zoom call with Dermot Desmond & Peter Lawwell this morning “trying to find solutions to what we can do better” says it was “a very productive conversation” & he has “their full support”.

Absolutely zero respect for the fans who have pumped our money in and done our part in these ridiculous times. A slap in the face of to the Celtic support. Being taken for mugs here.

Lawwell and Desmond having input into how the team is organised and prepared?
Blind leading the blind

Putting a statement like that out to the media is way more offensive than any banner outside Celtic park

Just confirming that they are spineless as they made the mistake of appointing him and not one of them is willing to admit it’s been a mistake of going from a £2m a year manager that Leicester paid us £9m compensation for to this.

“Trying to find solutions “ I’m sure that myself and 1,000s of other Celtic fans could give them the solution if they’re struggling to find one?

I honestly don’t think any other team that’s in the Europa League group stage would put up with getting beat 8-2 off Sparta Prague over two games. I’m honestly struggling to understand what is going on here.

Why won’t the board come out publicly and say it instead of neil or their favorite news reporters who they call. If they were 100% behind him surely they would say it themselves are they playing for time because they don’t have a plan B
