Karamoko Dembele was missing from the Colt’s side that took on Partick Thistle at Firhill today in a Glasgow Cup tie.

The 17-year-old has been the subject of a lot of online speculation recently with his path to the top looking to be on hold.

With his contract expiring in June it looks likely that he will move on from for a nominal compensation fee based on the time he has spent within the club Academy.

Neil Lennon gave the young winger his top team debut in the final match of the 2018/19 season with his 45 minute appearance against earning him a place on the bench for the Treble Treble Final a week later.

Other than a brief role as a substitute in the opening match of the season against there has been no playing time for Dembele although he has been involved in the Europa League squads.

The teenager could be in the squad to face Sparta on Thursday but with playing against Partick Thistle it seems odd that the young winger is missing out on getting proper game time. Karamoko played in the final of the 2018 and 2019 Glasgow Cup.
