One of the many issues that Celtic fans have with the club has been ‘Added Value’.

During the push to sell Season Tickets it was becoming obvious that the opening games would be played Behind Closed Doors.

The SPFL reached agreement with Sky Sports for clubs to show matches Behind Closed Doors with the stream available to Celtic Season Tickets.

At that stage Celtic announced ‘Added Value’ on the Season Ticket with fans speculating over what they would be getting in return for a ticket that many were paying £600 for.

So far ‘Added Value’ has consisted of access to a digital match programme and streams of matches against Sarajevo and Ross County.

Fans anticipating something meaningful from the club will be in for a let-down as Jim Orr revealed during the daily podcast from A Celtic State of Mind as he recalled a speach during a Zoom call held by the Celtic Trust.

13 minutes

In the Zoom meeting two weeks ago, a young guy, I forget his name, part of the Green Brigade, he looked about 12. Everyone to me looks about 12 but he was brilliant and what he said was that the GB met with Peter Lawwell and they asked the question about Added Value on the Season Ticket and Peter Lawwell turned round and said the Added Value is putting a winning team on the park. Patronising.

Kilmarnock supporters will get a free match next season for every game played behind Closed Doors, Motherwell are providing their Season Ticket holders the same deal.
