Kris Boyd has sent a CALM DOWN message to the fans who have been slaughtering him on Social Media after his Invincible Treble dream died in Paisley last night.

CALM DOWN is a message that the Sky Sports pundit would do well to apply to himself as he gets over excited about a possible Ibrox trophy win.

Last night Boyd was trending on Social Media as his schoolboy excitement at Steve Davis’ 88th minute equaliser against St Mirren switched to utter despair as Greegsy picked the ball out of the net four minutes later.

Screenshots of his Before and After expressions enjoyed as much attention as defeat for Steven Gerrard and Alex Rae’s painful appearance on Premier Sports.

Life as a pundit hasn’t been kind for Boydy who officially retired from playing in 2018 after a glorious career that included one goal against Celtic.

Famously in September 2016 he claimed that Celtic’s 5-1 Demolition Derby could have been very different if a shot from Barrie Mackay hadn’t flown well wide of the post.

Boyd has failed miserably in any attempt to appear impartial, cheering on every Revolution at Ibrox with the sort of enthusiasm that was Derek Johnstone’s Trademark.
