Leigh Griffiths has featured in an official pre-match video from Celtic ahead of Sunday’s Scottish Cup Final against Hearts.
Nothing definite an be read into players put forward for media duties but they generally provide a pointer towards team selection.
Griffiths is one of only a handful of survivors from Celtic’s Scottish Cup winning side in 2017 but he wasn’t involved in the 2019 success over Hearts after dropping out of action in December 2018 to deal with personal issues.
After a short spell out with a knee injury Griffiths returned to the side with an appearance as a substitute in Celtic’s 1-1 home draw with St Mirren but missed out completely against Lille and Kilmarnock.
Despite his indifferent form Odsonne Edouard is expected to lead the line for Celtic on Sunday with the Frenchman the hero of the 2019 final with a double against Hearts.
The Edouard and Griffiths partnership was one of the driving forces in Celtic’s 2019/20 title success but apart from tonight’s video hint there has been no suggestion that they’ll be reunited at Hampden on Sunday.
