One Celtic fan had £760 reasons to cheer Chris Jullien’s opening goal for Celtic against Lille.

In the 22nd minute David Turnbull sent in an inviting cross with the hoops defender running from deep to glance a header across goal into the net. Timing is everything with the bet becoming alive 60 seconds before Jullien put his head on the corner.

Lille were back on level terms within two minutes but that wouldn’t have dampened the celebrations for one man who had more faith in his team than many fans.

It was Jullien’s third goal of the season with the former Toulouse man missing almost two months of the season due to a back injury.

Of more interest to the Celtic support was a more solid look at the back where Jullien played alongside Shane Duffy with Kris Ajer going to right-back after Jeremie Frimpong was injured at the penalty that created Celtic’s second goal.

Lille did bounce back twice to going behind but Celtic refused to crumble with Turnbull popping up with a 75th minute winner.
