‘Guilty of complacency’ Peter Martin attacks Celtic board with 10 in a row now gone

Peter Martin has fired a blistering attack on the Celtic board- admitting that 10 in a row is now gone.
Over the last week the club has rallied behind Neil Lennon requesting unity but with a run of two wins in 12 matches the problem clearly extends beyond the manager.
Whatever the reasons the club missed an opportunity last Sunday, after the Betfred Cup defeat from Ross County, to make a change in the dug-out with the faint hopes of lifting the title this season now wafer thin.
It is now no longer about Neil Lennon as manager. It is about a board that has been guilty of complacency. A recruitment plan flawed and failed on more than a few signings. Ten in a row is now gone, the manager is to blame for on the field and the board off the pitch. #celtic

Martin has been a favourite of the Celtic board over the years, hosting a number of corporate events including a Charity Dinner in London last year with Neil Lennon and Scott Brown in attendance.
Lennon came in as Caretaker in February 2019 when Brendan Rodgers quit for Leicester City. As a Caretaker he was the perfect appointment but the decision to make him the permanent manager three months later looks deeply flawed.
Throughout the recent depressing run of results Lennon has been defiant about turning things round, today’s result will surely force the board, reluctantly into action to bring his second stint in charge to a halt.
