Celtic’s Academy Twitter account has published one tweet since August 23.
Last season’s Glasgow Cup was a victim of Lockdown but with a handful of games to be played and a lack of reserve matches the competition will be completed with a January final.
Celtic’s win against Thistle books their place in the final which will be a repeat of today’s match or another game against Thistle. The Ibrox kids are three pints behind Thistle with two games still to be played after today.
Johnston hasn’t played since suffering a knee injury against St Johnstone in January but has appeared to be fully involved in training clips in recent weeks.
Welsh came on as a substitute in the 2-2 draw away to Lille in the Europa League but Connell has yet to even make the bench for a competitive match.
