Fresh banners have been hoisted around Celtic Park as a game of cat and mouse between the club and fans is played out.

Over the last two days banners have been attached to the barriers that the club installed at the top of The Celtic Way only for the club to remove them.

This morning a large banner announcing SACK THE BOARD was set up behind the club Superstore facing onto the busy Clyde Gateway.

With no supporters allowed inside Celtic Park since March 7 there appears to have been a complete breakdown in communication between the club and supporters. Or fan engagement to use a trendy term.

Protests have become visible since Celtic lost 2-0 to Ross County in the Betfred Cup which prompted a club statement calling for unity.

A defeat to AC Milan and draw at home to St Johnstone has intensified the protests with a further statement from the club on Monday night insisting that Neil Lennon was the man to bring further success to the club.
